Michigan Davison Township is a civil township located in Genesee County, Michigan. It was first organized in 1837 and is named after Judge William Davison, who was a prominent figure in the early days of Michigan. The township covers an area of approximately 37 square miles and is home to a population of approximately 10,000 people. It is located just north of the city of Flint and is part of the Flint Metropolitan Statistical Area. The township has two distinct communities, Davison and Rich field, which are separated by the Flint River. Davison is located in the northwest portion of the township and is made up of mostly residential neighborhoods. Rich field is located in the southeast portion of the township and is mostly agricultural, with some rural residential areas. The township is served by the Davison Community Schools, which consists of five elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. Additionally, there are several private schools in the area. Recreation in the township includes a number of parks, golf courses, and trails, as well as access to the Flint River for fishing and boating. There are also a number of businesses and shopping centers located in the township.
