Michigan Geneses Township is a civil township located in Genesee County, Michigan. It is part of the Flint Metropolitan Statistical Area and is bordered by the cities of Flint, Flushing, and Swartz Creek. The township covers an area of 34.4 square miles and has a population of nearly 20,000 residents. It is home to two golf courses, a nature preserve, and numerous parks and recreational activities. The township is divided into two distinct sections: the north section and the south section. The north section contains the smaller villages of Flushing, Mount Morris, and Clio, as well as the larger community of Grand Blanc. The south section contains the unincorporated communities of Davison, Rich field, and Geneses. The township is governed by an elected Board of Trustees and is served by Genesee County Sheriff’s Department, Genesee County Fire Department, and Genesee County Emergency Medical Services. It is also served by the Geneses Intermediate School District, which offers K-12 education to its residents.
