Michigan Muddy Township is an incorporated charter township located in Genesee County, Michigan. It is situated approximately 8 miles northwest of Flint and 40 miles north of Detroit. Muddy Township is a rural community with rolling hills and large woodlands that offer a variety of recreational activities. The township is home to the Geneses Valley Center, a huge regional shopping mall, and the popular Crossroads Village, a living history museum. The township is also home to several golf courses, campgrounds, and parks, and it offers a variety of outdoor activities like biking, fishing, hiking, and golfing. Muddy Township is divided into two types of municipalities: the Charter Township of Muddy and the Village of Muddy. The Charter Township of Muddy provides municipal services such as police and fire protection, zoning and land use control, and recreation and parks. The Village of Muddy is a small village located within the township limits and provides services related to water supply, sewage treatment, and street maintenance.
