Michigan FOC Request For Conciliation Services is a program that provides free mediation services to parents who are involved in a court case, such as child custody and parenting time disputes, or any other issue that requires family court intervention. The program is managed by the Michigan Friend of the Court (FOC) and is available to any parent who is involved in a family court case. The program offers parents the opportunity to work with a mediator to reach an agreement that is in the best interests of their children. There are three types of Michigan FOC Request For Conciliation Services available: 1) Parenting Time Mediation, 2) Custody Mediation, and 3) Other Family Matters. Parenting Time Mediation is designed to help parents resolve disagreements over parenting time, including holidays, summer vacations, and other special occasions. Custody Mediation is designed to help parents reach an agreement about where their children will live and how they will be raised. Other Family Matters Mediation is intended to help parents resolve other issues, such as financial support, health care, education, and other matters related to the children.
