Michigan Application for Special License for Sale of Beer and Wine Only and/or Beer Wine and Spirits for Consumption on the Premises is a type of license issued by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission (LCC) for the purpose of selling alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises. This license is for businesses that wish to serve alcohol on-site, such as bars, restaurants, hotels, and other hospitality establishments. There are two types of Michigan Application for Special License for Sale of Beer and Wine Only and/or Beer Wine and Spirits for Consumption on the Premises: Class C and Class D. Class C licensees are allowed to sell beer, wine, and spirits for consumption on the premises. This includes beer, wine, mixed drinks, and hard liquor. Class C licensees are also allowed to sell prepackaged alcoholic beverages for consumption off the premises. Class D licensees are allowed to sell beer and wine only for consumption on the premises. This includes beer, wine, and mixed drinks. Class D licensees are not allowed to sell hard liquor or prepackaged alcoholic beverages for consumption off the premises. In order to apply for a Michigan Application for Special License for Sale of Beer and Wine Only and/or Beer Wine and Spirits for Consumption on the Premises, applicants must submit an application to the LCC. The application must include proof of residency, financial statements, and other relevant information. Applicants must also pass a background check and pay a fee. After the application is approved, the license is valid for one year and must be renewed annually.
