The Minnesota Prosecutor's Notice of Retention or Early Release of Hazardous Exhibits is a document used by the Minnesota prosecuting attorney to notify law enforcement agencies about the disposal of hazardous items which have been collected as evidence. The document can be used to retain or to release the hazardous item(s). There are two types of Minnesota Prosecutor's Notice of Retention or Early Release of Hazardous Exhibits: 1. Notice of Retention: This document is used to inform law enforcement agencies that the prosecutor's office has decided to retain the hazardous item(s). 2. Notice of Early Release: This document is used to inform law enforcement agencies that the prosecutor's office has decided to release the hazardous item(s) prior to the conclusion of the trial. The Minnesota Prosecutor's Notice of Retention or Early Release of Hazardous Exhibits is a legal document and must be filled out in accordance with the statutes of the state of Minnesota. The document must include the signature of the prosecutor, the name and address of the law enforcement agency, a description of the hazardous item(s), the date of retention or release, and the reason for retention or release.
