Minnesota Satisfaction of Judgment is a legal document used to acknowledge that a debt has been paid in full and that the original judgment is no longer valid. The form is typically used to satisfy a court-ordered judgment, including judgments against individuals, businesses, or other entities. There are two types of Minnesota Satisfaction of Judgment forms: a standard form that is used when the judgment was obtained in Minnesota, and a foreign form that is used when the judgment was obtained outside of Minnesota. Both forms must be signed by the judgment creditor, the judgment debtor, and the court clerk in order for the satisfaction of judgment to be valid. The form must then be filed with the court clerk in the county where the original judgment was obtained. Upon filing, the court clerk will enter the satisfaction of judgment, which will release the judgment debt and vacate any lien associated with it.
