The Minnesota Affidavit of Unfound Creditor(Word) (only use if required for Special Term Motion) is a document used by a debtor in a civil court case to show that they have made reasonable attempts to locate a creditor but have been unsuccessful. This document is used when filing a special term motion in a court of law. There are two types of Minnesota Affidavit of Unfound Creditor(Word) (only use if required for Special Term Motion): the Standard Affidavit and the Non-Standard Affidavit. The Standard Affidavit is used when the debtor is able to identify the creditor and has made efforts to contact them, but has been unable to contact them. This includes providing the creditor’s name, address, and contact information, along with an explanation of the debtor’s attempts to contact them. The Non-Standard Affidavit is used when the debtor is unable to identify the creditor or has not made any attempts to contact the creditor. The Non-Standard Affidavit includes an explanation of the debtor’s attempts to locate the creditor, including any search results and other information that could possibly identify the creditor. Once completed, the Minnesota Affidavit of Unfound Creditor(Word) (only use if required for Special Term Motion) must be signed and notarized in front of a notary public. The document must then be submitted to the court as part of the special term motion.
