Minnesota Communication and Contact Agreement and Order (Stepparent) is a court order that sets out the terms of communication and contact between a child, the biological parent, and the stepparent. This document is used when a child has a stepparent who is not the legal guardian of the child. The agreement details the terms of communication and contact between the child, the biological parent, and the stepparent, including the frequency and type of communication, and when and where contact is allowed. The document also outlines any additional provisions, such as travel restrictions, that may be necessary. There are two different types of Minnesota Communication and Contact Agreement and Order (Stepparent): Temporary and Permanent. A Temporary Agreement is meant to be in effect for a limited period of time, usually until a court hearing or trial can be held. A Permanent Agreement is meant to be in effect until the child reaches the age of majority.
