Minnesota Acceptance of Appointment and Oath is a document used to certify that an individual has been appointed to a state office or position, and has accepted the appointment and taken the oath of office. This document is also known as a Certificate of Appointment and Oath and is required by the Minnesota state government in order to hold certain public offices. There are two forms of Minnesota Acceptance of Appointment and Oath: the State Oath of Office and the Oath of Office for Political Subdivisions. The State Oath of Office is used for any state-level office, such as a statewide elected official, while the Oath of Office for Political Subdivisions is used for any office or position in a county, municipality, school district, or other local government. Both forms of the Minnesota Acceptance of Appointment and Oath require the individual to swear to support the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of the State of Minnesota, and the laws of the United States and the State of Minnesota.
