A Missouri Notice of Appeal — Civil Case is a document used to initiate an appeal of a civil case in the state of Missouri. It is a formal request to the Missouri Supreme Court or the Missouri Court of Appeals to review a decision made in a lower court. The notice must be filed within 30 days from the date of the lower court's decision and must contain information about the parties involved in the appeal, the case number, the specific issues being appealed, the grounds for the appeal, and the name and address of the person filing the notice. There are two types of Missouri Notice of Appeal — Civil Case: an Appeal from a Judgment and an Appeal from an Order. An Appeal from a Judgment is when a party is appealing the final judgment of a civil case, such as a verdict, judgment, or other court order. An Appeal from an Order is when a party is appealing an interlocutory order, such as a discovery order or a motion decision.
