Missouri Family Access Motion (MFA) is a court system program that provides a way for families to seek legal relief without having to go through the expense and complexity of a full court trial. MFA allows families to submit a motion on their own behalf, or on behalf of someone else, to the court. The motion requests relief from some sort of family-related issue, such as orders for custody or child support, or modification of a divorce decree. The motion is then reviewed by the court, and the court may grant relief if it finds that the motion has merit. There are two types of Missouri Family Access Motion: 1. Motion to Modify: The Motion to Modify requests the court to modify the existing order of the court. This motion can be used to request a change to an existing custody or child support order, or to modify a divorce decree. 2. Motion to Enforce: The Motion to Enforce requests the court to enforce the existing order of the court. This motion can be used to request that the court compel the other party to comply with the existing order or to award sanctions for the failure to comply with the existing order.
