Missouri Healthier Disclosure (Sec. 473.398, RSM) is a state law in Missouri that applies to health care providers. This law requires health care providers to make certain disclosures to patients and the public about their participation in the Missouri Healthier program. The Missouri Healthier program is a state-run health insurance program that provides coverage to low-income individuals and families. The Missouri Healthier Disclosure law requires health care providers to disclose their Missouri Healthier participation on their websites and in all promotional materials. This includes information about the types of services they provide through Missouri Healthier, the eligibility requirements for the program, and the cost of services. Health care providers must also provide notice of their Missouri Healthier participation to patients when they are admitted to a facility or receive services. There are two types of Missouri Healthier Disclosure (Sec. 473.398, RSM): provider disclosure and patient disclosure. The provider disclosure requires health care providers to post information on their website and in promotional materials about their participation in the Missouri Healthier program. The patient disclosure requires health care providers to provide notice of their Missouri Healthier participation to patients when they are admitted to a facility or receive services.
