The Missouri Petition for Review of STOP Assessment & Assignment Rec is an administrative process established by the Substance Abuse Traffic Offender Program (STOP) division of the Missouri Department of Mental Health. It provides individuals with an opportunity to challenge the results of an STOP assessment and assignment recommendation. A petition for review may be filed by the individual or their attorney. There are two different types of Missouri Petition for Review of STOP Assessment & Assignment Rec: 1. Administrative Petition for Review: This is a petition that is filed to challenge the results of an STOP assessment and/or assignment recommendation. It is heard by a panel of three STOP staff members, who will review the petition and any supporting documentation. 2. Judicial Petition for Review: This is a petition that is filed to challenge the decision of an administrative petition for review. It is heard by a judge in a court of law.
