Missouri Articles of Organization is a legal document required to form a Limited Liability Company (LLC) in the state of Missouri. It is filed with the Missouri Secretary of State in order to register the LLC and make it a legally recognized entity in the state. The Articles of Organization must include the LLC name, purpose, registered agent information, management structure, and the name and address of all members. The Articles must be signed by at least one of the LLC members. There are two types of Missouri Articles of Organization: Domestic LLC and Foreign LLC. A Domestic LLC is formed within the state of Missouri, while a Foreign LLC is formed outside of Missouri but seeks to do business in the state. Both require that the Articles of Organization be filed with the Secretary of State.
