The Missouri Chart 1-Permanent Partial Disability Schedule is a formula used by the state of Missouri to calculate economic awards for permanent disability claims. This schedule is used to determine the amount of money an individual should receive in order to compensate for any lost wages or capacity due to an injury. The award is based upon the individual's age, occupation, degree of disability, and other factors. The schedule includes four different types of awards: Non-Scheduled Permanent Partial Disability (PPD), Scheduled Permanent Partial Disability (SPED), Permanent Total Disability (LTD), and Temporary Total Disability (TTD). Non-Scheduled PPD awards are based on medical evidence which indicates a permanent disability of less than a specific percentage. Scheduled PPD awards are based on specific body parts affected and the amount of disability which is indicated. Permanent Total Disability awards are based on the total loss of capacity due to the injury. Temporary Total Disability awards are based on the amount of time an individual is unable to work due to their injury.
