Missouri Information about Reemployment Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) provides financial assistance, job search and relocation allowances, and job training to workers who have lost their jobs due to foreign trade. The TAA program is administered by the Missouri Department of Economic Development. The program has two primary components: 1. Trade Readjustment Allowances (ERA): This program provides financial assistance to workers who have lost their jobs or had their hours reduced due to increased imports or shifts in production outside the United States. 2. Reemployment Trade Adjustment Assistance (RTA): This program provides financial assistance, job search and relocation allowances, and job training to workers who have lost their jobs due to foreign trade. It also provides assistance to employers who hire these workers. In addition to these two main components, the TAA program also provides other services such as job search assistance, career counseling, and job training. Workers who are eligible for TAA can also receive extended unemployment insurance benefits and health care coverage.
