The North Carolina — Family Engagement Policy and Plan Acknowledgement and Agreement is a form signed by the parent/ guardian and the school representative to acknowledge that both parties have read, discussed, and agreed to the Family Engagement Policy and Plan. This acknowledgement verifies that the school and parent/ guardian are committed to working together to support the educational success of the student. The North Carolina — Family Engagement Policy and Plan Acknowledgement and Agreement is typically used in public schools in North Carolina and contains three components: the parent/ guardian signature, the school representative signature, and the school seal. The form must be filled out and signed by both the parent/ guardian and the school representative in order to be acknowledged. There are two types of North Carolina — Family Engagement Policy and Plan Acknowledgement and Agreement: the General Acknowledgement and Agreement and the Individualized Acknowledgement and Agreement.
