North Carolina Individual Debtor — SolOwnershiphi— - Wildcard Exemption - Full Avoidance is a type of bankruptcy protection available to individuals filing for bankruptcy in the state of North Carolina. It is a form of Chapter 7 bankruptcy in which the debtor, or individual filing for bankruptcy, is able to keep their assets, including their home, car, and other personal belongings, while still eliminating their debts. The Wildcard Exemption allows the debtor to keep an unlimited amount of property, up to the allowable amount in North Carolina. The Full Avoidance aspect of this exemption allows the debtor to completely avoid repaying any of their unsecured debts. There are two types of North Carolina Individual Debtor — SolOwnershiphi— - Wildcard Exemption - Full Avoidance: Personal Wildcard Exemption and Homestead Wildcard Exemption. With the Personal Wildcard Exemption, the debtor can keep any personal property, up to the allowable amount in North Carolina, while with the Homestead Wildcard Exemption, the debtor can keep their home and any associated property.
