North Carolina Privacy Notice is a legal document that informs individuals of their rights under the North Carolina Privacy Act of 2020. The Act requires certain businesses to provide customers with certain information, including a clear and conspicuous explanation of their right to opt-out of the sale of personal information, the categories of personal information that a business collects, and the purpose for which such information is collected. This document also explains the rights of individuals to access, correct, and delete their personal information. There are two types of North Carolina Privacy Notice: a notice provided to a consumer when they make a purchase and a notice provided to a customer when they create an account. The notice provided to customers when they make a purchase must include information on how to opt-out of the sale of personal information, the categories of personal information that the business collects, and the purpose for which such information is collected. The notice provided to customers when they create an account must include the same information as the notice provided to customers when they make a purchase, plus additional information about the customer's right to access, correct, and delete their personal information.
