North Dakota Commercial Or Noncommercial Registered Agent Resignation is the process of formally terminating a registered agent's services with the state of North Dakota. A registered agent is an individual or entity designated by a business to receive service of process (legal documents) from the state and to provide notice to the business of any legal action against it. There are two types of registered agents in North Dakota: Commercial and Noncommercial. A Commercial Registered Agent is an individual or entity that is registered with the North Dakota Secretary of State's office as a Commercial Registered Agent and is authorized to accept service of process on behalf of another business in the state. A Noncommercial Registered Agent is an individual or entity who is not registered with the state, but is authorized to accept service of process on behalf of another business in the state. North Dakota Commercial Or Noncommercial Registered Agent Resignation requires the registered agent to submit a Resignation of Registered Agent form to the Secretary of State's office. The form must include the registered agent's signature, the signature of the business, and the address for service of process. Upon receipt of the form, the Secretary of State's office will process the resignation and the registered agent's services will be terminated.
