The North Dakota AMENDED CERT of AUTHORITY of FOR LET PARTNER OR FOREIGN LIMIT is a document issued by the North Dakota Secretary of State that allows a Limited Liability Company (LLC) to operate in the state. It is an amendment to the original Certificate of Authority that was issued when the LLC was formed. This document authorizes the LLC to engage in business activities in North Dakota. It also serves as proof that the LLC is in compliance with all applicable state laws. There are two types of North Dakota AMENDED CERT of AUTHORITY of FOR LET PARTNER OR FOREIGN LIMIT: Amendment of Authority to Form a Limited Liability Company (LLC) and Amendment of Authority to Form a Foreign Limited Liability Company (FLY). Both documents require the LLC to provide information such as the business name, address, member and manager information, and the purpose of the LLC. Once the document is filed, it is valid for five years.
