North Dakota Independent Exercise Request (UNDER) is a form used by the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (ND DPI) to allow local school districts to receive state assistance for certain educational activities outside the state’s normal funding formulaUNDERER requests are most commonly used by school districts to cover the cost of special programs, services, and activities that are not normally supported by state funding. There are three types of UNDER requests: Program Requests, Equipment Requests, and Professional Development Requests. Program Requests are used to cover the cost of implementing special programs and activities, such as field trips, guest speakers, and extracurricular activities. Equipment Requests are used to cover the cost of purchasing new equipment and materials for educational purposes, such as classroom supplies, computers, and audio-visual equipment. Professional Development Requests are used to cover the cost of providing professional development opportunities to staff members, such as conferences, workshops, and seminars.
