Nebraska Complaint for Employment Discrimination is a form used by individuals to file a claim of workplace discrimination with the Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission (NEC). The complaint can be filed in instances of discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or other legally protected characteristics. The complaint must be filed within 180 days of the alleged discrimination occurring. The form must include the complainant's name, address, telephone number, and a description of the events that constitute discrimination. It should also include the date(s) of the alleged discrimination, the name and address of the employer, and any other information relevant to the complaint. There are two types of Nebraska Complaint for Employment Discrimination: (1) the administrative complaint and (2) the court complaint. The administrative complaint is filed with the NEC, while the court complaint is filed in district court. Both types of complaints must include the same information and must be filed within the allotted 180 days.
