Nebraska Registration And Renewal of Corporate Name (Foreign Business And Non Profit Corps) is a process for registering and maintaining a corporate name in the state of Nebraska. This process is used for both foreign business entities and non-profit corporations. The process includes filing an Application for Registration of Corporate Name with the Nebraska Secretary of State, as well as filing a Renewal of Corporate Name application every five years. The application must include the proposed name of the corporation, the name of the registered agent, the name of the corporation and the purpose of the corporation. Once the application is approved, the corporation will be assigned a unique corporate name and registered with the Nebraska Secretary of State. There are two types of Nebraska Registration and Renewal of Corporate Name (Foreign Business and Non Profit Corps): Standard and Short-Form. The Standard Application requires a more detailed description of the corporation’s purpose, while the Short-Form Application requires less detailed information.
