Nebraska Assignment of Registration Trade Name Or Service Mark is a document used to transfer the ownership of a business's registered trade name or service mark from one person or entity to another. This document is filed with the Nebraska Secretary of State in order to officially transfer the rights to use the registered trade name or service mark. There are two types of Nebraska Assignment of Registration Trade Name Or Service Mark documents: a) Assignments of Trade Name Registrations and b) Assignments of Service Mark Registrations. The assignment document must include the names of the current owner (Assignor) and the new owner (Assignee), the trade name or service mark being assigned, and the date of the assignment. Once the document is filed with the Nebraska Secretary of State, the Assignee will become the legal owner of the registered trade name or service mark.
