A Nebraska UCC Financing Statement is a legal document that is used to provide notice of a security interest in personal property. It is filed with the Nebraska Secretary of State's Office and serves as a public record of a secured creditor's lien on the debtor's personal property. The filer of the statement must be the secured party, or the secured party's attorney or agent. There are four types of Nebraska UCC Financing Statements: UCC-1, UCC-3, UCC-11, and UCC-Financing Statement Amendment (UCC-3A). A UCC-1 form is used to create a new security interest, and must include the debtor's name and address, the secured party's name and address, a list of collateral, and a signature of the secured party. A UCC-3 is used to amend an existing financing statement and must include the debtor's name and address, the secured party's name and address, a list of changes to the original financing statement, and a signature of the secured party. A UCC-11 is used to provide additional collateral information and must include the debtor's name and address, the secured party's name and address, a list of additional collateral, and a signature of the secured party. Lastly, a UCC-Financing Statement Amendment (UCC-3A) is used to terminate an existing financing statement and must include the debtor's name and address, the secured party's name and address, a list of changes to the original financing statement, and a signature of the secured party.
