Nebraska Order for Provisional Intrastate Transfer (NO PIT) is a legal document that allows an individual to move within the state of Nebraska and maintain their residence. It is typically used by individuals who are relocating in order to pursue educational or employment opportunities. The NO PIT establishes the rights and responsibilities of the individual and the state in regard to residency, taxes, voting rights, and other matters. The order can be issued either by the court or through the Department of Motor Vehicles. There are two types of Nebraska Order for Provisional Intrastate Transfer: Temporary and Permanent. The Temporary NO PIT is typically issued for a period of up to six months, and allows the individual to maintain their residence in the state of Nebraska while they are pursuing educational or employment opportunities. The Permanent NO PIT is typically issued for individuals who are relocating permanently in order to pursue educational or employment opportunities. This type of NO PIT is generally valid for up to three years, and allows the individual to maintain their residence in the state of Nebraska.
