The Nebraska Notice of Transfer to Civil Docket (Small Claims Court) is a legal document used to transfer a case from the Small Claims Court to the Civil Docket. This document is generally used when a plaintiff in a small claims case wishes to increase the amount of damages they are seeking and the amount exceeds the jurisdictional limits of the Small Claims Court. The Notice of Transfer to Civil Docket is typically filed by the plaintiff and includes various information such as the names of the parties, the court where the small claims action was filed, the amount of damages being sought, and other relevant information. Once the Notice is filed, the court will issue an order transferring the case to the Civil Docket. There are two types of Nebraska Notice of Transfer to Civil Docket (Small Claims Court): Notice of Transfer to Civil Docket from Small Claims I and Notice of Transfer to Civil Docket from Small Claims II. Notice of Transfer to Civil Docket from Small Claims I is used for cases where the amount of damages being sought does not exceed $3,500. Notice of Transfer to Civil Docket from Small Claims II is used for cases where the amount of damages being sought exceeds $3,500.
