Nebraska Power of Attorney for Health Care is a legal document that allows a person to designate another individual to make medical decisions on their behalf. This document can be used in the event that the person is unable to make decisions for themselves due to accident, illness, or other incapacitating event. It can also be used to designate someone to act on behalf of the person in matters related to health care, such as selecting treatments, signing documents, and communicating with health care providers. There are two types of Nebraska Power of Attorney for Health Care: Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care and Springing Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care. The Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care is effective immediately upon execution and remains valid until the principal revokes it, or it is terminated by law. The Springing Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care is effective only when certain conditions are met, such as the principal being incapacitated.
