Nebraska Request and Notice for Expanded Media Coverage of County Court Initial Proceedings is a form used by Nebraska media outlets to request permission to attend and report on initial county court proceedings. This form is used to provide information about the media outlet, the proceedings it wishes to attend and report on, and a description of how the coverage will be conducted. There are two types of Nebraska Request and Notice for Expanded Media Coverage of County Court Initial Proceedings: (1) the Request for Expanded Media Coverage of County Court Initial Proceedings; and (2) the Notice of Intent to Broadcast County Court Initial Proceedings. Both forms must be filed with the county court prior to the proceedings. The Request for Expanded Media Coverage of County Court Initial Proceedings must include the name of the media outlet, the name of the court proceeding, and a description of the manner in which the coverage will be conducted. The Notice of Intent to Broadcast County Court Initial Proceedings must include the name of the media outlet, the name of the county court, the date and time of the initial proceeding, and a description of the manner in which the coverage will be conducted. Both forms are used to ensure that media outlets are in compliance with Nebraska law when covering county court initial proceedings.
