New Hampshire Notice for Expedited Plea and Sentencing Hearing- Criminal Form 4 is a form used by criminal defense attorneys to request an expedited plea and sentencing hearing in the state of New Hampshire. This form must be completed and signed by both the defendant and the defendant's attorney, and it is then filed with the court. The purpose of this form is to request an expedited plea and sentencing hearing when the defendant is willing to waive their right to a jury trial and proceed to the plea and sentencing phase of the criminal proceedings. There are two types of New Hampshire Notice for Expedited Plea and Sentencing Hearing- Criminal Form 4: Form 4A and Form 4B. Form 4A is used when the defendant is willing to waive their right to a jury trial and plead guilty, or no contest, to the charges and move directly to sentencing. Form 4B is used when the defendant is willing to waive their right to a jury trial and enter a plea of not guilty, but still wishes to proceed to the sentencing phase of the proceedings.
