A title is a secure document issued by the DMV which represents ownership of a motor vehicle. What vehicles are not required to be titled? New Hampshire does not title motor vehicles that have a model year of 1999 or older.
(TDMV 19A) may only be completed by a New Hampshire authorized inspection station, a New Hampshire authorized vehicle dealer or a New Hampshire law enforcement officer. There is no fee owed to the DMV when turning in this form; however, the authorized agent may require a fee at the time of verification.
You can apply for a title when registering. To register a trailer weighing less than 3,000 pounds, provide a Bill of Sale or completed Vehicle Identification Number Verification Form TDMV 19A if no Bill of Sale is available.
The registration fee shall be $. 60 per hundred lbs. gross weight and such trailer shall not be registered for less than 10,000 lbs.
Temporary Plates: New Hampshire Residents: A 20-day temporary plate is available for all vehicles purchased through a private sale, or purchased from an out of state dealer that does not offer temporary plates upon purchase.

2000 or newer, require either the Title made out to you, or a Certificate of Origin, or a completed title application for title. RSA 261: 1999 or older, require a bill of sale, the original title or copy, or a copy of a previously issued NH registration, or a completed and signed NH VIN Verification form TDMV 19-A.
To obtain a corrected title, take the existing New Hampshire title to your Town/City Clerk's office. The Town/City Clerk must prepare a new title application (form TDMV 23A).
