New Jersey Prisoner Applying to Proceed In Form Paupers In A Civil Rights Case is a legal procedure in which a prisoner in the state of New Jersey applies to the court to waive the filing fees associated with a civil rights case. This type of motion is usually available to inmates who can demonstrate an inability to pay the court filing fees due to their poverty. There are two types of New Jersey Prisoner Applying to Proceed In Form Paupers In A Civil Rights Case: one for filing a complaint in federal court and one for filing a complaint in state court. In order to apply, prisoners must fill out a form, known as an In Form Paupers Motion or an Application to Proceed In Form Paupers, and provide evidence of their poverty. The court will then review the application and determine whether to grant the prisoner's request. If granted, the prisoner will be allowed to pursue their case without having to pay the court filing fees.
