The New Jersey Consent For Affidavit of Next of Kin is a form that is used to provide legal permission from the closest relative or Next of Kin of a deceased person. This form must be notarized in order for it to be legally binding. It is typically used in cases where there is a dispute over the rightful heir of a deceased person’s estate, or in cases of intestate succession. There are three types of New Jersey Consent For Affidavit of Next of Kin: (1) A Consent for the Appointment of an Administrator or Executor; (2) A Consent for the Transfer of Real Property; and (3) A Consent for the Sale of Personal Property. Each of these forms contains information such as the name of the deceased, the name of the Next of Kin granting permission, the name of the Administrator or Executor, the date of death, and the signature of the Next of Kin. The form must be signed in front of a notary public and must also be accompanied by a copy of the death certificate.
