New Mexico Application for Certificate of Authority — Foreign Cooperative Association is a document required by the New Mexico Secretary of State when a foreign cooperative association wishes to qualify to transact business in the state. To qualify, the organization must complete and submit the Application for Certificate of Authority, pay the required filing fee, and provide additional information as required by the secretary. The Application for Certificate of Authority can be used for two types of foreign cooperative associations: 1) a foreign association that is organized under the laws of another state, or 2) a foreign cooperative association organized under the laws of another country. The application must include the name of the foreign cooperative association, the state or country in which it is organized, the date of organization, the address of the association in the foreign jurisdiction, the address of the association in New Mexico, the name, residence address, and telephone number of a person responsible for the association in New Mexico, and other information as required by the secretary.
