The Nevada Affidavit of Entitlement for Estates is a form used in the state of Nevada that allows a person, known as the affinent,” to swear that they are entitled to inherit the estate of a deceased person. The form is used to document the affine's title to the estate and to prevent any disputes over its ownership. It must be completed and submitted to the court before the estate can be distributed. There are two types of Nevada Affidavit of Entitlement for Estates: the Small Estate Affidavit and the Affidavit of Entitlement for a Full Estate. The Small Estate Affidavit is used when the value of the estate is $100,000 or less and the heirs are all adults. The Affidavit of Entitlement for a Full Estate is used when the value of the estate is more than $100,000 or if there are any minor heirs. Both forms require the affine to provide the court with information about the deceased person, the value of the estate, the heirs, and any debts. The affine must also provide a copy of the death certificate, a list of all the deceased's assets, and proof of payment of any taxes or debts due.
