The Nevada Notice of Execution Before Judgment is a legal document used in the state of Nevada to allow a creditor to take legal action against a debtor without first obtaining a court judgment. It is a form of self-help remedy that allows the creditor to seize property of the debtor as payment for a debt owed. The Nevada Notice of Execution Before Judgment must be in writing and must be served on the debtor at least 10 days before any action is taken. There are two types of Nevada Notice of Execution Before Judgment: Attachment and Garnishment. Attachment allows the creditor to take possession of the debtor’s property to secure payment of the debt. Garnishment allows the creditor to take a portion of the debtor’s wages as payment for the debt. In both cases, the creditor must provide the debtor with a copy of the Notice of Execution Before Judgment that includes the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor, and the date the document was served.
