The Nevada Motion For Review And Modification of Child Support is a legal document used to modify or adjust an existing court-ordered child support order. It is initiated by either party to the original order, and can be filed with the court in the county in which the order was made. There are two types of Nevada Motion for Review and Modification of Child Support: an "original" motion and a "continuing" motion. An original motion is used when either party has experienced a substantial change in circumstances since the original order was issued. It may include a request for an increase or decrease in the amount of support, a request for a change in the payment schedule, or a request for a change in the type of support (i.e. from periodic payments to a lump sum). A continuing motion is used when the support order is already in effect, but either party wishes to modify it due to a significant change in circumstances. This type of motion may also be used to enforce an existing order if payments are not being made.
