The Nevada Waiver of Service of Summons is a form used in civil court proceedings in the state of Nevada. This form is used to waive the right of an individual to be served with a summons or other legal documents in person. The Nevada Waiver of Service of Summons gives the individual an opportunity to acknowledge that he or she has received the papers and is aware of their contents. The waiver is signed by the individual and filed with the court, and the signed waiver is returned to the individual. There are two types of Nevada Waiver of Service of Summons: the Nevada Waiver of Service of Summons by Mail and the Nevada Waiver of Service of Summons by Publication. The Waiver of Service of Summons by Mail is used when the defendant is known, and the Waiver of Service of Summons by Publication is used when the defendant is unknown or cannot be found.
