Nevada Charitable Solicitation Registration Statement (NRS CHAPTER82) is a mandatory form that must be filled and filed by any corporation that intends to solicit charitable or tax-deductible contributions in the state of Nevada. This registration requires the corporation to provide the Nevada Secretary of State's office with detailed information about the organization, its charitable activities, and its fundraising solicitations. The Nevada Charitable Solicitation Registration Statement includes information such as the name and address of the organization, the purpose and objectives of the organization, the names of the directors, officers, and trustees of the organization, and the name and address of the organization's registered agent. In addition, the statement must include a copy of the organization's bylaws, a financial statement, and a list of all solicitation materials used by the organization. The Nevada Charitable Solicitation Registration Statement is also required for all organizations making charitable solicitations for a charitable fund-raising campaign, including organizations that are not required to be registered as charitable organizations. The Nevada Charitable Solicitation Registration Statement must be submitted to the Nevada Secretary of State's office prior to any solicitation activities. Once the registration is approved, the organization will receive a Certificate of Charitable Solicitation Registration which must be prominently displayed on all solicitation materials. There are two types of Nevada Charitable Solicitation Registration Statement: one for organizations that are incorporated in Nevada, and one for organizations registered in other states. Organizations that are incorporated in Nevada must submit a Nevada Charitable Solicitation Registration Statement, and organizations registered in other states must submit a Charitable Solicitation Registration Statement from the state in which they are registered.
