Nevada General Letters of Guardianship (also known as Letters of Guardianship) are a type of guardianship that is granted by a court in the US state of Nevada. This guardianship grants an individual the legal authority to act on behalf of another person, usually a minor. The Nevada General Letters of Guardianship document outlines the responsibilities and rights of the guardian, which can include making decisions about the ward's education, medical care, and financial affairs. There are three types of Nevada General Letters of Guardianship: Limited Guardianship, Plenary Guardianship, and Temporary Guardianship. Limited Guardianship grants the guardian certain, limited rights and is typically used when the ward is able to make some decisions on their own. Plenary Guardianship grants the guardian complete control over the ward and is typically used when the ward is unable to make decisions on their own. Temporary Guardianship is used when a guardian is needed for a short period of time, such as when the ward is in the hospital.
