The Nevada Tenants Affidavit Declaration — Other Private Housing is a document used by tenants in the state of Nevada to affirm their rights to occupy a rented dwelling. This document is typically used when a tenant is renting a property from an owner who is not a professional landlord. The affidavit includes the tenant's name, address, and contact information; the landlord's name, address, and contact information; the rental term; and a declaration that the tenant has the right to occupy the dwelling. The tenant must sign and date the affidavit to make it legally binding. There are two types of Nevada Tenants Affidavit Declaration — Other Private Housing. The first type is the Standard Affidavit, which is used when a tenant is renting from an individual owner. The second type is the Airbnb Affidavit, which is used when a tenant is renting from an individual owner through a short-term rental platform such as Airbnb.
