The Nevada Application For Adoption Registry Adopted (NV AAR) is a confidential database that facilitates the exchange of identifying and non-identifying information between adopters, birth families, and adoptive families. NV AAR is designed to provide adopters, birth families, and adoptive families with an opportunity to reunite or exchange information. There are two types of Nevada Application For Adoption Registry Adopted: 1. Adopted — this application is for adoptees who are seeking to reunite with or learn more about their birth family. 2. Birth Family — this application is for birth family members who are seeking to reunite with or learn more about their adopted child or family. Both applications require the completion of an online form with detailed information, such as names, dates, addresses, and contact information. Once the application is submitted, it is reviewed and processed by the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services. After the application is approved, the registrant will be notified and their contact information will be added to the registry.
