A New York Affidavit in Support of Application (also known as a New York Affidavit of Support) is an official, sworn document filed in the state of New York to provide evidence of an individual's financial ability to support another individual. This may be used in various circumstances, such as for immigration, adoption, or student visa applications. It can be used as a substitute for traditional financial documentation such as tax returns or bank statements. There are two types of New York Affidavit in Support of Application. The first is the Affidavit of Support Form I-134. This form is used to establish the financial support of an individual for an intending immigrant who is coming to the United States. The second type is the Affidavit of Support Form I-864. This form is used to establish the financial support of a sponsor for an immigrant who is already in the United States. Both forms require the sponsor to provide evidence of their financial ability to support the immigrant.
