The New York Reimbursement Application for Petroleum Business Tax on Fuel Used for Commercial Gallon age (also known as Form RT-7) is a form used by certain businesses in the state of New York to apply for a reimbursement of taxes paid on fuel used for commercial gallon age. This form is issued by the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. The form must be completed and submitted to the Department for consideration. This form is available in two versions: one for businesses that are subject to the Petroleum Business Tax (PBT) and one for those that are not. Businesses that are subject to the PBT must complete the form in order to receive a refund of taxes paid on fuel used for commercial gallon age. Businesses that are not subject to the PBT must complete the form in order to receive a credit against future PBT liability. The form must be completed accurately and completely in order to be considered for a reimbursement or credit. It must include information about the fuel used, the applicable taxes paid, and the business’s contact information. The form must also be accompanied by supporting documentation, such as invoices or receipts. Once submitted, the form will be reviewed by the Department and a determination will be made whether a reimbursement or credit is due. The Department will then issue a check or credit the business’s account accordingly.
