A New York Compromise Order For A Structured Settlement (Complex Order) is a legal document issued in the State of New York. The purpose of this document is to resolve a dispute between two parties who have entered into a structured settlement agreement. The Compromise Order outlines the terms of the settlement, including the amount of money to be paid to each party, when and in what form payments will be made, and how the agreement will be enforced. The Compromise Order also states the rights and obligations of each party under the agreement, including who is responsible for taxes, fees, and other costs associated with the settlement. There are two types of New York Compromise Order For A Structured Settlement (Complex Order): an agreed Order and an Order by Consent. An agreed Order is issued when both parties have negotiated the terms of the settlement and have agreed to the terms. An Order by Consent is issued when the parties have not yet reached an agreement on the terms of the settlement and the court must intervene and issue an Order.
