New York Stipulation to Adjourn (CIV-GP-92) is a legal document used in New York state court proceedings. It is a formal agreement between two parties to adjourn a case in civil court for a set amount of time, either for settlement negotiations or to allow a party additional time to prepare for the case. This stipulation is also known as an “adjournment in contemplation of dismissal” or “ACD.” There are two types of New York Stipulation to Adjourn (CIV-GP-92): an unconditional adjournment, which automatically adjourns the case for a certain period of time; and a conditional adjournment, which requires a court order or agreement between the parties. The document must be signed by both parties and filed with the court. It is important to note that if the parties do not reach a settlement by the adjournment date, the case will be automatically reopened.
