New York Article 19-A Biennial Oral/Written Examination is a certification exam for individuals wanting to become a licensed driver’s education instructor in the state of New York. The exam is administered by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). It is composed of two parts, a written and an oral examination which must be taken every two years in order to stay current and certified.
