The New York Attorney Application for the EDDY Representation in Mediation Program (ENTRAP) is a program that allows attorneys to provide mediation services to clients in the Eastern District of New York. The program is designed to assist attorneys in resolving disputes between parties in an expeditious and cost-effective manner through mediation. Attorneys must meet certain criteria to be eligible for the program, including being in good standing with the New York State Bar Association, having at least three years of experience in the legal field, and having a current professional liability insurance policy. Attorneys must also complete an approved mediation training program. There are two types of New York Attorney Application for the EDDY Representation in Mediation Program: the Application for Representation in Mediation and the Application for Representation in Collaborative Mediation. The Application for Representation in Mediation is used to request to represent a party in mediation. The Application for Representation in Collaborative Mediation is used to request to represent both parties in a mediation. Both applications must be completed and submitted with the appropriate fee, and must include a completed Statement of Qualifications and a signed Agreement of Representation.
